    Georgie's Alibi Monkey Bar

    An institution since 1997 and still the beating heart of the strip. Four distinct bars under one roof, drag shows nightly, 2-for-1 happy hour until 8pm every day, and the legendary $3 Long Island Thursdays. If you only have one night on the Drive, it starts here — and honestly, it might just stay here.

  2. Best big night out

    The Manor Complex

    Wilton Manors' mega-club: three dance floors, two levels, a VIP room, and the stage where headline DJs and Drag Race alums land when they come to South Florida. It runs on an event calendar rather than fixed hours, and weekend nights peak after 1am — when every other bar on this list empties into it.

  3. Best dance floor, longest pedigree

    Hunters Nightclub

    Making Wilton Manors dance since 1980. Full production on the main floor, the biggest video screen on the strip, go-go dancers, monthly theme nights, and an afternoon happy hour (from 3pm weekdays, 2pm weekends) that doubles as the neighborhood's town hall before the DJ takes over.

  4. Best cocktails — and best conversation

    DrYnk Bar & Lounge

    The grown-up room: velvet wallpaper, smoked old fashioneds, and music kept at a level where you can hear your date. The happy hour is quietly one of the Drive's most generous (2–8pm Mon–Sat, nearly all day Sunday). Start your night here; your taste buds will thank you.

  5. Best leather bar — best patio, too

    Eagle Wilton Manors

    The classic Eagle formula done right: leather, bears, strong pours, zero pretense, and a back patio that collects half the crowd on any warm night. Inside hides CODE, the old-school bar-within-the-bar with its own dress-code nights and its own happy hour on weekends.

  6. Best daytime bar and game-day HQ

    Gym Sportsbar

    One of America's friendliest gay sports bars — big screens, beer buckets, jockstrap nights, and a crowd that will adopt you by the second quarter. Open from 11am daily, which makes a Sunday afternoon beer here a fully sanctioned Wilton Manors activity.

  7. Best budget night out

    LIT Wilton

    The newest room on this list and the cheapest good time on the strip: $5 wells and wine at happy hour (4–7pm Mon–Sat), a packed little dance floor, and no dress code, ever. The unofficial third stop of every Saturday crawl for a reason.

  8. Best drag brunch — and best second act

    The Well

    The LGBTQ-owned successor to Hamburger Mary's, and a worthy heir: a bar you can actually eat at, a fundraiser stage for half the town's causes, and a Sunday drag brunch — 'Sunday Service' — that books out. Open from noon daily, until 3am on weekends.

  9. Best dance floor you can actually learn

    Scandals Saloon

    South Florida's only gay country-western bar, teaching line dancing since 2003. Free beginner lessons turn first-timers passable by last call, and the Sunday T-Dance is a two-decade institution. The easiest bar in town to walk into alone — the choreography does the introductions.

  10. Best show — burlesque with a start time

    Johnsons

    Fort Lauderdale's only all-male speakeasy and burlesque club: male dancers, staged shows, VIP liquor lockers, and a $5–10 cover that buys nightlife as performance rather than backdrop. Closed Mondays; the room peaks Friday and Saturday.

  11. Best leather destination (worth the three blocks)

    Ramrod

    The corridor's leather institution since 1994 — Levi, leather, and uniform culture kept honest for three decades. Technically a few blocks south of the city line, but it has anchored South Florida's leather calendar too long to leave off this list. Gear nights reward dressing the part.

  12. Best value — and the earliest pour

    Pub on the Drive

    Opens at 9am, closes at midnight or later, prices at the friendly end of the strip, and a patio on the busiest sidewalk in town. Drag and live entertainment at night, but its real title is the Drive's all-day home base.
