Apt 9F is the counterpoint to the Drive’s louder rooms: a lesbian-owned restaurant with an intimate, apartment-living-room feel, a menu that rewards regulars, and a devoted neighborhood following that treats it less like a business and more like a friend’s place that happens to serve dinner.

The name isn’t an accident — the space really does feel like someone’s impeccably kept apartment, and that’s the charm. Evenings are the main event — doors open at 4pm through the week, running to 10 or 11pm (midnight on Fridays and Saturdays) — with a daily happy hour worth planning around: Monday to Saturday 4–7pm and Sunday 3–7pm, with $5 wine and wells and discounted beer. Sundays the room switches registers entirely, opening at 10:30am for the neighborhood’s quieter brunch — the one for people who want to actually hear their table, two blocks and a world away from the Rosie’s mimosa rush.
